My name is Paweł Durczok. I design and I develop.
I am a self-educated graphic designer, illustrator and front-end developer based in Poland and I’ve been working in the industry for over 10 years. And this? This is North of Rapture.
Until 2015 I’ve been working under the Leukocyt moniker, but last year after almost a decade I decided to re-brand and completely change my approach to my work, the community and business. That is how North of Rapture was born.
It was a big step and a big change, but it was the right one. The name itself isn’t accidental. I’ve always enjoyed what I did – it was fulfilling, engaging and gave me incredible satisfaction when I saw my design out in the world or I finally completed a website and could see all the little bits and pieces perfectly fall into place. But in 2015 I felt that it is time to go beyond working for myself, that it’s time to give back to the community that helped me become who I am today. It’s been a long time coming but with the launch of my blog I’m starting to realize those plans.
Therefore North of Rapture is as much a brand as it is a statement. I plan to move in small, but confident steps. The blog is the first of those steps. I’ll be posting, what I hope will be helpful and interesting articles, code snippets and case studies. I plan to create an online presence that will allow young designers, developer and people only starting in the field to learn, understand and simply enjoy this industry. The plans of course go further, but first things first.
